Pour Homme (Queens of the Stone Age update)
Well, it's almost upon us. The long-awaited Tucson return of the hardest-rocking hard rock band in the land, Queens of the Stone Age, along with the Eagles of Death Metal, which is a band comprising A) Don Henley, Glenn Frey, and Joe Walsh on a death metal bender; B) Raptors who rock hard and are into Satan; or C) QOTSA's Josh Homme on drums in a straight-up rock band with a funny name.
We're really into the idea of option A but option C will do just as well.
There are some tickets still available, but they're going fast. Purchase at the Rialto Box Office between 12-6 on weekdays, or after 2 pm on the day of the show, if the tickets haven't sold out.
You can also find them on Ticketmaster.com and at Fry's Supercenters.
Seriously, you oughtta fly like speedfreak eagle that likes Deicide so you don't miss out.

Support (of the kind not provided by the Superband Waistband)
Three new announcements of supporting acts we'd like to share with you.
Firstly, there's the addition of Tyler Hilton to the Kenny Wayne Shepherd bill, two fine young men if ever such a thing existed.
Nextly, we're pleased to announce the addition of Al Perry to the Loudon Wainwright III show. We think this makes for as exciting and dynamic a pairing as peanut butter and jelly. Or fish and chips.
And finally, we'll make explicit what some already know: The Eagles of Death Metal, Queens of the Stone Age singer Josh Homme's side project (in which he plays drums), will be opening for the Queens on May 28th. So there's that.
Here at the Rialto, there's always some exciting new development, and even if it's not exciting, we'll bust our asses pretending it is.
