The Rialto Loves The Avett Brothers; Insists You Come To Show

Here at the Rialto, there are a lot of bands that come through that we like, some that we love, and then there are others where professionalism dictates that our true feelings remain mum.

But sometimes, there are bands that we get evangelical about, they're so great. We humbly present one such band to you on Monday, August 13th.

The Avett Brothers are an up-and-coming three-piece from Concord, North Carolina, who recently released a brilliant (and that's us talking, not their PR people) new album called "Emotionalism" and will be gracing our stage for the first time on the 13th.

We've been listening to "Emotionalism" non-stop, obsessively refreshing YouTube to see if there are new Avetts videos, sending MySpace new friend requests by the dozen (click the link to go to their MySpace page and hear a sample of their music). We're verging on being obsessed (no need to get a restraining order, guys. We'll calm down and give you your space. For now.)

Anyway, we're looking to share our zeal with you, the denizens of the most beautiful city in the Southeast corner of Arizona (besides Bisbee). This is an amazingly good band. We aver that they're so great, you'll be able to one day brag to your friends about how YOU WERE THERE at their first show in Tucson -- if you're the kind of person who brags, that is.
