Shorty Stubbs, may you rest in peace

We at the Rialto would like to express our deep sense of regret and sadness at the loss of one of Tucson’s finest. Chris “Shorty Stubbs” Jones was an avid supporter of the arts, a top notch DJ at KXCI, a musician, and a friend. His passion for music and his selfless dedication to it, whether through his weekly “Country Fringe” roots and twang show on KXCI or by volunteering his time at events too numberable to mention made him an invaluable and irreplaceable part of our community. The Rialto will sorely miss his presence and his influence on this great local music scene of ours.

A memorial concert for Shorty will be held on Sunday, September 30 at the Hut at 5 p.m. We encourage you to attend and celebrate his life with friends and family.
