Loudon Wainwright III
Loudon Wainwright III
Loudon Wainwright (born September 5, 1946, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA) is an American songwriter, folk singer, humorist and actor. He was married Canadian singer-songwriter Kate McGarrigle with whom he had two children, Rufus Wainwright and Martha Wainwright. He also has a daughter, Lucy Wainwright Roche with the singer Suzzy Roche. He is the son of Loudon Wainwright II and brother of Teddy Wainwright and Sloan Wainwright.
Katie Haverly
Hailing from the Sonoran Desert of Tucson, singer, songwriter and musician, Katie Haverly is a performing artist whose work is flooded with raw emotion, dissonant tension, ethereal moodscapes, and gritty sensuality (think Laura Marling, Joni Mitchell, Amy Winehouse, Bjork, and Nai Palm). She is known for her live performances, which meld her musicality and vocal prowess with one singular moment in time. Haverly has toured through the United States, Australia and Mexico, opening for artists including CHRIS ISAAK, LOUDON WAINWRIGHT, JAKE SHIMABUKURO and BIG BAD VOODOO DADDY and has recorded and released five full length solo records, her most recent entitled Pluto. Pluto is moving outward from the inner exploration of Aviary, into a celestial realm that observes human behavior and our current social, political and environmental predicament here in 2018 from a satellite view. These songs are discussion, admonition, calls to action and beacons of hope.
