GRINDMOTHER, the Canadian mother/son grindcore band featuring 68 year-old Grindmother on vocals, has captivated the world with their amazing story. The band, led by her son Rainforest, released their debut album "Age of Destruction " in April 2016, and has so far toured across USA, Canada and Japan. The 68 year-old bad-ass has been featured by NPR, NY Post, CBC, Global News, RightThisMinute, Laugh Out Loud, The Morning Show, CTV News, Fox Business, Maury, Huffington Post, Noisey, Decibel, Smash, Kerrang, O.C. Weekly, and many more.

GRINDMOTHER's videos have been seen millions of times across the world and she has appeared on several TV and news programs. Footage from a recent rehearsal was viewed over 2 million times on Facebook. Both underground metal and mainstream media have reported on her extensively. Vice Japan called her "a super idol of Vice".

On July 26, GRINDMOTHER released a cover of SEPULTURA's Slave New World via Decibel Magazine. A post made by SEPULTURA on their Facebook page read "Last night in Brazil we celebrated Grandparent's Day, and look what we discovered: this version of Slave New World sung by a 67-Year-old grandmother! She's got a project of heavy music called The Grindmother. Their story is so inspiring that was published in the Decibel Magazine."
