GivingTuesday is almost here, and it’s the perfect time to show your passion for the Tucson music scene by supporting the local, non-profit Rialto Theatre Foundation.

The Rialto Theatre opened its doors in 1920 hosting vaudeville shows, silent films, Spanish-language first-run movies, and more. Almost a century later, the Rialto hosts over 360 performances each year at our main venue and our sister venue 191 Toole. Powerhouse bands on the rise and at the top of their careers, emerging and historic hip-hop singers, comedians, jazz musicians, film screenings, flamenco, country, podcasters, writers, and children’s performers all take the stage to bring Tucson an unforgettable concert experience. Moreover, these performances drive around 200,000 patrons to downtown Tucson annually to enjoy an unforgettable evening at their favorite concert venue.

With GivingTuesday just around the corner, we have been reflecting on how much a single donation to the Rialto Theatre Foundation can impact the entire community. The Rialto has roots that reach in all directions, enriching all members of the community and standing strong for generations past, present, and future. Our ability to deliver on our promise to the community each year is made possible by our remarkable network of donors, sponsors, partners, collaborators, educators, and artists. We cannot do what we do without YOU.

It is only one day a year, but your support on GivingTuesday helps the Rialto Theatre Foundation cover the costs of preservation, education, entertainment, and local support. It’s YOUR Rialto, so please donate this December 2.
